About Me
Shuchi Sharma
Boston-based Senior Product Designer
Specializes in enterprise platforms and complex operational systems.
I’m a product designer specializing in fintech and enterprise platforms — the kind of work where the stakes are high, the workflows are complex, and getting the details right actually matters.
My early career started in financial analysis and audit at American Express and Ernst & Young, which gave me something most designers don’t have: a first-hand understanding of the compliance, risk, and operational realities I now design for. That background shapes how I approach every problem — I’m not just translating requirements, I’m working from a genuine understanding of the domain.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve designed products across the fintech and enterprise space — from building ONYX, Group 1001’s internal ERP platform supporting financial operations and trading workflows, to creating interfaces for Hitachi Vantara’s cloud data management platform. My early career also included UX and front-end development work, which gave me a strong foundation in how design translates into production systems.
My process starts with the business vision and the real problem underneath a request — then layers in user research, data insights, and stakeholder collaboration to arrive at solutions that balance user needs with organizational goals.
My design approach starts with understanding the business vision and the real problem behind a request. I rely on user research, data insights, and stakeholder collaboration to design solutions that balance user needs with organizational goals.
Outside of Work
When I’m not designing, I volunteer with Destination Imagination, mentoring students through open-ended STEAM challenges. I’m also a committee member for the South Asian Association of Bedford (SAAB), helping bring community events to life — including Bollywood Night. I’m a trained dancer and love teaching Bollywood dance to young students.
In my downtime, I paint, travel with my family, get lost in audiobooks, and rewatch Friends on loop.
